Areas of responsibility include:
- Accountable for both the strategic and operational responsibility for the product
- Drive the product's success in the local market.
- Implement and drive strategies to achieve and exceed sales targets.
- Develop an annual marketing and sales plan for the product/product range.
- Conduct ongoing business development initiatives with existing and potential customers.
- Responsible for all new product launches and resolving stock in relation to end of life ranges.
- Responsible for arranging all certification and legal requirements for technology to be sold in South Africa and neighboring countries.
- Conduct a comprehensive market review to assess the present and future market viability for the product/product range.
- Prepare reports on a quarterly basis on the performance of the product/product range which will include margin review on both equipment and consumables where applicable (reports will form part of the quarterly board pack submission)
- Maintain an uptodate database on product usage.
- Maintain updated monthly price lists.
- Maintain up to date customer satisfaction reports and take necessary steps to ensure high level of ongoing "after sales service and satisfaction."
- Ensure all technical and sales training is held for the sales and technical teams.
- Ensure sufficient stock of products to meet market demand. Stock management to be efficiently controlled.
- Collaborate and maintain professional relationships with international and local suppliers.
- Collaborate with marketing team to devise marketing plans and ongoing execution.
- Collaborate with technical team.
- Resolve all customer and distributor queries professionally and efficiently.
- Ensure sales and marketing teams are always updated with all product information.
Minimum requirements for this position include:
- Matric
- Min 5 years' experience in technology Product management and development.
- Fully Computer Literate
- Must be fully vaccinated
