We are actively seeking an Internal Auditor for our Africa Projects, a pivotal role within our Group Internal Audit Africa department.

You will ensure that construction and significant maintenance projects are seamlessly aligned with the group's Project Management Policies and Procedures.


  • The position demands a blend of engineering or finance educational background combined with extensive experience in Quantity Survey or Internal Auditing in the construction realm.
  • Key skills include proficiency in SAP, data analysis, multitasking, and a strong command of French is advantageous.
  • This role requires not just technical expertise but also a refined set of behavioural competencies, such as impeccable communication, decisive judgment, and the ability to work across diverse teams.
  • The auditor will have a spectrum of responsibilities ranging from procurement management to project cost auditing. Join the team in this instrumental position to maintain the integrity and quality of projects across Africa.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Degree in Engineering and/or Finance: BSc(Hons) (Quantity Surveying), B Tech (Quantity Surveying), or B Com.
  • Minimum of 5 years in Quantity Survey within construction, ideally in the manufacturing industry. Alternatively, experience as an Internal Auditor in the construction sector.
  • Knowledge of Project Management Policies and Procedures.
  • Familiarity with various production process flows.
  • Acquaintance with local legislations.
  • Proficient in SAP and Microsoft Office.

Contract Management:
Review critical project documents to ensure alignment with Group PMP.

  • Payment Process Management: Oversee project payments, ensuring adherence to group PMP.
  • Monitoring & Evaluation: Ensure projects' compliance with local legal requirements.
  • Project Completeness: Validate project closeout procedures with PMP.
  • Reporting: Compile comprehensive reports on project adherence to group standards.
  • Benchmarking: Evaluate requirements against parallel projects.
  • Project Cost: Audit project costs to ensure alignment with approved budgets.
