Role Summary:

Are you an experienced Sonographer looking for a dynamic role in diagnostic healthcare? Join our client's team, where you'll utilize your expertise in sonographic equipment to perform essential diagnostic procedures.

From patient preparation to procedure execution, your role will be pivotal in providing accurate and timely medical assessments.

Key Responsibilities:
Manage and oversee daily operations of the radiology ultrasound department.

Explain ultrasound procedures to patients, record medical history, and gather necessary data.

Coordinate bookings for radiography procedures.

Perform ultrasound scans, report findings to Radiologist, and assist with procedures as needed.

Assist patients from reception to changing rooms and scanning/x-raying rooms.

Ensure quality images through proper patient positioning and technical procedures.

Contribute to departmental efficiency by maintaining cleanliness and organization.

Conduct routine equipment checks and report technical issues.

Handle administrative tasks such as answering phones, making bookings, and following up on reports.

Capture optimal images and prepare detailed reports for radiologists' interpretation.

Fulfil any additional duties as assigned by Chief Radiologists and Practice.

Education:

National Diploma in Diagnostic Radiography with BTech Ultrasound or BRad. Ultrasound.

Registration with HPCSA.

Work Experience:
Previous experience in sonography is a must.

Ability to implement and maintain health practice standards and legislation.

Minimum of one year's experience as a Sonographer.
