    Job Title: Live-In Housekeeper (minimum 5 years experience)

    Location: Kuils River (Cape Town)

    Job Type: Permanent

    Job Summary: My client is seeking a reliable, honest and experienced live-in housekeeper (minimum 5 years experience) who is skilled in maintaining a clean and organized living space. In addition to housekeeping duties, the ideal candidate must be proficient in cooking a variety of meals. This is a full-time position that includes accommodation and meals.

    Responsibilities:

    1. Housekeeping:

    · Clean and maintain the house, ensuring a high standard of cleanliness and order.

    · Perform regular deep cleaning tasks, including but not limited to dusting, vacuuming, mopping, and polishing.

    · Change bed linens and towels as needed.

    · Organize and tidy up living spaces.

    · Manage laundry, including washing, ironing, and folding clothes.

    2. Cooking:

    · Plan and prepare daily meals for residents, adhering to any dietary restrictions or preferences.

    · Create a varied menu that includes a range of nutritious and well-balanced meals.

    · Keep the kitchen clean and organized, including washing dishes and maintaining kitchen appliances.

    · Monitor and replenish food supplies as necessary.

    · Ability to accommodate special dietary needs and preferences.

    3. Organization and Time Management:

    · Efficiently manage time to ensure all housekeeping and cooking duties are completed in a timely manner.

    · Keep an inventory of cleaning supplies and food items, notifying the employer when replacements are needed.

    4. Communication:

    · Communicate effectively with the employer regarding any special requests or specific preferences.

    · Report any maintenance issues or necessary repairs promptly.

    Requirements:

    · Proven experience as a housekeeper, preferably in a large residence or hotel setting.

    · Strong cooking skills with the ability to prepare a variety of dishes.

    · Knowledge of proper cleaning and sanitation techniques.

    · Ability to manage time effectively and prioritize tasks.

    · Excellent organizational and communication skills.

    · Discretion and respect for privacy.

    · Physical fitness and stamina for daily cleaning tasks.

    · Flexibility to adapt to the employer''s schedule.

    · Must be able to speak English and Afrikaans
