Payroll Manager
Tower Group have an exciting opportunity, based at our Head Office in Illovo, Sandton.
Education:
- Finance Degree
- HR knowledge (for laws and legislation understanding particular to BCEA, NMW, LRA etc.)
- Matric
- Preference given to those with further studies specific to tax and payroll
Experience in:
- Weekly, monthly, fortnightly and ad hoc payrolls is essential
- Bargaining council submissions and management
- Labour broking experience an advantage
- Temporary, permanent employees and independent contractors over various payrolls
- Processing of various aspects of payrolls salaries, benefits, garnishees, deductions, taxes and thirdparty payments
- UIF and other statutory calculations (EMP501, EMP201, reports and submissions)
- Payroll and invoicing software adaptability is necessary
- Advanced Excel skills in order to populate complex spreadsheets, pivots etc
- Training & development and coaching payroll team
- Must have experience in managing a team within payroll / finance

- Oversee and direct payroll processes and procedures
- Ensure compliance with applicable laws and payroll tax obligations
- Supervise and coach national payroll team
- Populating and managing reports for Exec Management
