    About the role:

    As a Senior Actuarial Analyst in the Life Corporate Actuarial Department, you'll play a vital role in valuations, capital assessments, and profitability monitoring. Collaborate with a diverse team, handle quarterly reserving activities, assist with reporting, mentor trainees, and contribute to strategic processes like IFRS17 and ORSSA. Ideal candidates bring a degree in Actuarial or Business Science, at least six actuarial exams, three years of experience, and strong communication skills.

    This vital business unit plays a direct role in their financial strategies, reporting directly to the Chief Financial Officer. Join a dynamic and diverse team consisting of graduates, analysts, and qualified actuaries. Collaborate closely with accounting, finance departments, and valuation counterparts abroad, contributing to a holistic approach to financial management.

    Skills and Experience Required:
    • Bachelors degree in Actuarial or Business Science;
    • Possess a minimum of six actuarial exams completed;
    • Have at least three years of relevant work experience in a similar role;
    • Demonstrate intermediate knowledge of reserving practices and life actuarial modeling;
    • Showcase understanding of life insurance products and financial reporting standards;
    • Exhibit strong communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills;
    • Thrive in a fast-paced environment, able to work under pressure and meet deadlines effectively.


    Duties and Responsibilities:
    • Analyse valuation data to ensure accuracy and compliance with regulatory standards;
    • Perform tasks related to quarterly reserving activities, including calculating prospective reserves, IBNR, and monitoring claims experience;
    • Assist in regular reporting for IFRS17, IFRS9, SII, and SAM, providing valuable insights to stakeholders;
    • Provide input and support for the Annual ORSSA process, contributing to strategic decision-making;
    • Assist with ad hoc model and assumption changes, ensuring ongoing accuracy and relevance;
    • Mentor and guide graduate trainees, fostering a culture of learning and development within the team.
