    Our client within the Fast-Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) space is seeking a National Account Manager based in Durban.

    Duties and Responsibilities

    • Account Management: Develop and maintain strong relationships with key national accounts to ensure customer satisfaction and loyalty.
    • Sales Strategy: Develop and implement sales strategies to achieve revenue targets and business objectives.
    • Market Analysis: Conduct market research and analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and competitive activities.
    • Forecasting: Develop and maintain accurate sales forecasts for national accounts.
    • Negotiation: Negotiate contracts, pricing, and terms with key accounts to maximize profitability.
    • Reporting: Prepare and present regular reports on account performance, market trends, and sales metrics to senior management.
    • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with other departments, such as marketing, finance, and product development, to support overall business objectives.
    • Customer Relationship Management: Ensure the effective use of CRM systems to track customer interactions, sales activities, and performance metrics.
    • Problem-Solving: Address and resolve any issues or challenges faced by national accounts.
    • Training and Development: Provide training and support to account teams to enhance their skills and knowledge.

    Minimum Requirements

    • Education and Experience: Relevant degree and 10 years of experience in Sales/Account Management, with at least 10 years at Sales Management/Senior Account Management level. FMCG sector experience is essential, while meat industry exposure is an advantage.
