The South African College of Applied Psychology (SACAP) is the leading independent provider of education in psychology, counselling and coaching, offering accredited undergraduate and postgraduate qualifications.
SACAP is looking for a full time Online Educator to form part of the Academic team at SACAP, based at our Head Office in Cape Town.
The Online Educator will be responsible for teaching five online modules per term, and to build a community of practice with part-time educators teaching counselling modules as part of the curriculum at SACAP.
Responsibilities:
- Online teachingTeaching a minimum of five modules per term
- Quality Assurance of the delivery of a portfolio of modules and their associated parttime educators by building a community of practice to support educators
- Serve as a Subject Matter Expert to assist Learning Designers and Curriculum Developers
- Be an active member of the Research and Ethics Committee
Qualifications and Experience:
- Minimum of Masters Degree in Psychology
- A minimum of 3 years teaching experience in Higher Education, particularly within an online context
- Technologically savvy / strong digital literacy skills
- Strong academic writing skills
- Experience with online curriculum development
- Exceptional organisational, management, and leadership skills
- Understanding of the higher education landscape in South Africa

Online Teaching.
Operating Hours:
This is a full-time position operating from Mondays to Fridays*:
Monday to Thursday: 08:30am to 17:00pm
Friday: 08:30am to 16:00pm
- Due to the nature of this role, there will be a need to work flexible hours to the extent to which it is reasonably necessary to perform the duties of the position.
