Our client is looking for an Operations Manager that will be responsible for ensuring that all operations are completed in an efficient, timely, and cost-effective manner.


Responsibilities:


  • Make important policy, planning, and strategy decisions
  • Provide inspired leadership for the organization
  • Develop, implement, and review operational policies and procedures
  • Assist HR with recruiting when necessary
  • Help promote a company culture that encourages top performance and high morale.
  • Oversee budgeting, reporting, planning, and auditing
  • Forecast requirements; prepare an annual budget; schedule expenditures; analyse variances; initiating corrective actions
  • Manage staff levels, wages, hours, contracts, labour to revenues
  • Work with senior stakeholders
  • Ensure all legal and regulatory documents are filed and monitor compliance with laws and regulations
  • Work with the board of directors to determine values and mission, and plan for short and longterm goals
  • Identify and address problems and opportunities for the company
  • Build alliances and partnerships with other organizations
  • Support worker communication with the management team
  • Recruit, select, train, assign, schedule, coach, counsel, and discipline employees
  • Communicate job expectations; planning, monitoring, appraising, and reviewing job contributions
  • Plan and review compensation actions; enforcing policies and procedures
  • Contribute operations information and recommendations to strategic plans and reviews; prepare and complete action plans; implement production, productivity, quality, and customerservice standards; resolve problems; complete audits; identify trends.
  • Develop operations systems based on requirements; develop, implement, enforce, and evaluate policies and procedures.
  • Analyse and improve organizational process and workflow, employee and space requirements, and equipment layout; implement changes
  • Maintain safe and healthy work environment by establishing, following, and enforcing standards and procedures; complying with legal regulations
  • Update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organizations
  • Accomplish operations and organization mission by completing related results as needed
  • Communicate customer issues with operations team and devise ways of improving the customer experience, including resolving problems and complaints
  • Meet regularly with all clients to gauge client satisfaction or potential issues and work with the internal team and AM to mitigate and solve issues
  • Work closely with GM and management team to set and/or implement policies, procedures, and systems and to follow through with implementation.
  • Communicate all operating policies and/or issues at department meetings

Qualifications:


  • Bachelor's degree in operations management or related field
  • Operational management experience in a digital marketing agency
  • Experience working with a development department and team
  • Experience in management, operations, and leadership
  • Understanding of general finance and budgeting, including profit and loss, balance sheet, and cashflow management

Ability to commute/relocate:

  • Johannesburg, Gauteng: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (required)
