Job Title: Diesel Mechanic

We are seeking a skilled Diesel Mechanic to join our team at Express Employment Professionals (Witbank) in Mpumalanga. As a dedicated and motivated individual, you will be responsible for ensuring the optimal performance of our commercial trucks.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Evaluate Tasks Required: Consult with customers and read work orders to assess the necessary repairs.
• Plan Work: Develop a detailed plan after thoroughly inspecting the vehicle's issues.
• Diagnostic Tests: Run diagnostic tests on diesel engines and interpret the results to provide suitable solutions.
• Vehicle Inspection: Inspect vehicle systems, including suspensions, steering, and exhausts.
• Repair or Replace: Repair or replace vehicle transmissions, brakes, engines, and other associated parts.
• Emergency Visits: Conduct field visits in case of an emergency or sudden breakdown.
• Test Driving: Test drive repaired vehicles to assess their performance.
• Maintenance: Complete oil changes, wheel balancing, alignment, and brake checks.
• Records: Maintain records of parts inventory and serviced vehicles.

Requirements:

• Grade 12 qualification
• Drivers license and a reliable vehicle
• Qualified Diesel Mechanic Trade
• Minimum 3-5 years experience working on commercial vehicles
• Knowledge and experience with DAF, FAW, PowerStar, UD, and Iveco trucks
