Key Responsibilities:


  • Implement and maintain private and hybrid cloud environments in alignment with organizational strategy.
  • Collaborate with Infrastructure Designers and Platform Owners to review and approve cloud templates and patterns.
  • Conduct logical deployments of cloud configurations.
  • Automate cloud services to enhance efficiency and scalability.
  • Engage with Public Cloud Providers to integrate and consume services effectively.
  • Maintain and enhance cloud service offerings, including portal and catalogue items.
  • Ensure all service offerings integrate into IT Service Management (ITSM) processes according to SLAs.
  • Conduct capacity planning to ensure adequate infrastructure capacity at all times.
  • Monitor and report on the performance of cloud infrastructure, recommending actions for optimization.
  • Act as thirdlevel support for cloud infrastructure operations.
  • Advise and consult project workgroups on cloudrelated matters.
  • Rightsizing infrastructure as necessary to optimize performance and cost.
  • Execute deliverables within agreed timeframes in line with cloud strategy.
  • Keep certifications valid and up to date, staying current with industry trends.

Qualifications and Experience:


  • Matric / Grade 12 / National Senior Certificate.
  • Relevant ITrelated Degree or Diploma.
  • Public Cloud Certification and Virtualization Certification (VMware preferable).
  • 810 years of IT infrastructure and operations experience.

Technical Skills:


  • Strong networking knowledge.
  • Experience with storage area network infrastructure.
  • Proficiency in database management.
  • Knowledge of computer security principles.
  • Familiarity with disaster recovery and business continuity standards.
  • Understanding of information technology concepts.
