    Key Responsibilities

    • Read and interpret various technical drawings, converting them into Solidworks packages with precision and accuracy.
    • Schedule assignments and communicate details to the CAD department team members, ensuring seamless collaboration and effective project management.
    • Participate actively in production meetings, providing expert input and contributing to the success of the team.
    • Create complex drawings in Solidworks that meet specifications, adhering to industry standards and quality expectations.
    • Conduct follow-up checks on completed drawings to ensure accuracy and quality.
    • Develop and maintain data packages, creating cutting files that are accurate and reliable.
    • Demonstrate a thorough understanding of bending, laser, machining, and welding procedures, applying this knowledge to optimize production processes.
    • Utilize a range of measuring tools with confidence and accuracy, ensuring precise measurements and dimensional control.
    • Collaborate closely with the quality department to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions.
    • Analyze and identify various components as per technical drawings, making adjustments as required from other departments.

    Requirements

    • Minimum 3-5 years of experience in manufacturing, preferably in a similar role or industry.
    • Familiarity with measuring equipment, including tape measures and verniers.
    • Matric qualification with Technical Drawings as a subject.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft applications, including Word, Outlook, and Excel.
    • Experience with Solidworks, AutoCAD, and Sigmanest software.
    • A draughting qualification would be an advantage, but not essential.
