Job Title: Java Developer

About the Opportunity

We are seeking a skilled Java Developer to join our team in Pretoria. As a key member of our software development team, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining high-quality software solutions.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Design and Development: Identify areas for modification in existing programs, develop modifications, write efficient code, and determine operational practicality.
• Quality Assurance: Develop quality assurance procedures and deploy software tools, processes, and metrics.
• System Maintenance: Maintain and upgrade existing systems, train users, and work closely with other developers, business, and systems analysts.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of development experience.
• University degree in an applicable field preferred.
• Experience in Java, Python, or Angular, Postgresql, MongoDB.
• Knowledge and interest in computer systems and the latest technologies.
• The ability to learn new technologies quickly.
• An analytical mind.
• The ability to communicate complex procedures to other colleagues.
• Commercial and business awareness.
• Good communication skills – both written and verbal.
