Job Description:


  • The purpose of the HR Generalist is to advise leaders in aspects of employment law, help managers and employees interpret HR policies and ensure adherence to company values and objectives.

Key responsibilities include:


  • Actively supports the delivery of De Beers people strategy by providing professional support and training to line managers and HRBPs for HR related outputs, i.e. recruitment, talent and performance management, engagement and employee relations.
  • Provides general advice and guidance to support managers build capability on employee relations matters including grievances, disciplinary, longterms sickness, maternity.
  • Supports the regular review and maintenance of people policy/guidelines.
  • Supports line management with resourcing needs.
  • Supports talent data updates on Navigator. Coordinates Talent assessment requests with identified preferred suppliers.
  • Uses reports and analytics to structure interventions to build line manager competence.
  • Supports line managers and employees with the implementation and optimisation of Team+ activities and conversations. Monitors the delivery of the Team+ performance cycle.
  • Assist HR Admin in ensuring Employee and Contractor master data is relevant and accurate.
  • Learning and development.

Qualifications:


  • A recognised Human Resources Management or Industrial Psychology Degree.

Knowledge and skills required:


  • Extensive experience as an HR Advisor, HR Consultant or similar role.
  • Knowledge of labour legislation.
  • Experience in Workplace Skills Plans and BBBEE compliance reporting.
  • Extensive recruitment experience.
  • Customerfocused and serviceoriented.
  • Ability to form working relationships with people at all levels.
