If you are ready to join a leader in the product development and technology arena in terms of mining supplies and you are a seasoned sales representative, then you may want to read further.

The position will focus on the Western Bushveld of South Africa.

The successful person will already have extensive and solid contacts in this region in place whom they can draw on and continue a relationship in terms of this role.


The person will have Grade 12, a tertiary qualification and at least 10 years of experience in Sales within the Mining industry.

Furthermore, the person must have strong knowledge of Strata control products and mining and or rock engineering background.

Computer literacy is non-negotiable, and the person must be based in the western Bushveld region.

The Key Responsibilities of this role include the following and are not exclusive.

  • Services existing accounts obtains orders, and establishes new accounts by planning and organizing daily work schedules to call on existing or potential sales outlets and other trade factors.
  • Adjusts the content of sales presentations by studying the type of sales outlet or factors
  • Focuses sales efforts by studying the existing and potential volume of dealers
  • Submits orders by referring to price lists and product literature
  • Keeps management informed by submitting activity and results reports, such as daily call reports, weekly work plans, and monthly and annual territory analyses.
  • Monitors competition by gathering current marketplace information on pricing, product, new products, delivery schedules, and merchandising techniques.
  • Recommends changes in products, services, and policy by evaluating results and competitive developments
  • Resolve customer complaints by investigating problems; developing solutions; preparing reports; making recommendations to management.
  • Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing a personal network; participating in professional societies.
  • Provides historical records by maintaining records on area and customer sales
  • Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed
