A SHEQ Consulting Firm in Gauteng is looking to employ a Health and Safety Consultant who is available immediately.

Preferably a female fluent in speaking, reading and writing in Afrikaans with own vehicle, willing to travel within and around the Gauteng area.

The successful incumbent must have 3 years experience of ISO45001 and ISO9001, minimum qualification required SAMTRAC. With experience in the Food Industry

Salary on offer basic salary plus R vehicle allowance plus R fuel allowance plus a R cellphone allowance, Total package before deductions R per month


Duties include but not limited to: Regularly review & update SHEQ policies, procedures ,Hazard Identification & Risk Assessment (HIRA) analysis, implementation, monitoring, regular update, & the corrective / preventive actions, compilation of new, & updating of existing, safe work documents and procedures to be current & in line with latest safety requirements and legislations.

Incident & Accident investigation, recording & reporting. Health & Safety inspections, reporting thereof to relevant HOD, overseeing corrective / preventive action of any concerns raised. Ensure all safety training needs are identified, co-ordinated, recorded & implemented. Document & maintain a training & skills matrix for all health & safety related training.

Compile, co-ordinate and distribute monthly health and safety toolbox talks - Ensure all Health & Safety applicable legal appointments are documented, issued, signed & maintained on record, with periodic updates as/where necessary.

Reporting on internal & external Safety, Health & Environmental issues.

Ensure compliance with all aspects of the Occupational Health & Safety Act as & where it applies to the business operations.

Regular awareness & update of & compliance with, health & safety legislation & legal requirements. Effective liaising between management & staff on all health & safety matters. Monitoring & coordinating employees H&S medicals & training


Salary:
R22,000.00 per month
