The Role
JOB PURPOSE:
The main purpose of a National Group Fleet Manager is to oversee and manage the fleet operations of a company or organization at a national level.
Fleet management involves the planning, coordination, and execution of activities related to a company's fleet of vehicles, which can include cars, trucks, vans, and specialized vehicles used for various purposes such as transportation, logistics, sales, service, and more.
The role of a National Group Fleet Manager encompasses a wide range of responsibilities, including:Duties & Responsibilities:
Ensure internal expectations are met in all aspects of reliability, communication and on time performance for the national vehicle fleet.
- Analyze fleet processes and identify and implement new procedures as needed to ensure performance of fleet locations and inventory are efficient and within budget.
- Report on monthly fleet costs aligned to budget. -Partner with IT and Outsourced service providers to manage, develop and implement software solutions/technology to streamline practices and improve efficiency -Continually improves policies and procedures relative to fleet management operations through data analytics and management of the fleet management system- Ensure compliance with internal and external policies and procedures.
- Manage vendor networks and relationships to improve service delivery.
- Review vendor sourcing in conjunction with Procurement with the goal of securing more reliable, more costeffective vendors. Perform administrative functions including compliance documentation and providing reports and Dashboards for/communicating with the Operations Executive, COO and Finance department
Skills and Experience
JOB -RELATED REQUIREMENTS: - Grade 1- Degree or Diploma in Fleet Management or relevant tertiary qualification (Advantageous years relevant experience managing a logistics or similar sized fleet - Experience in the transportation industry - Knowledge of fleet management systems and best practice fleet management tools and - processes
