- Oversee all support activities to ensure a highly stable and available enterprise environment.
- Financial and Business Management: Ensure that all individual and departmental outcomes are achieved within budget and deadlines.
- Meet budget targets by effectively executing and adhering to divisional billing requirements.
- Ensure transparent transfer pricing for the provision of products and services within the business area.
- Implement the Activity Justified Transfer Pricing (AJTP) model aligned with the GT service model by establishing costs, prices, and conditions.
- Ensure effective targeted cost recovery by monitoring and ensuring all staff time is accurately recorded weekly.
- Deliver quality projects, processes, and systems on time, fully aligned with Nedbank's business requirements.
- Provide timely information, resources, professional advice, and strategic contributions to relevant stakeholders within budget and quality standards.
- Manage Stakeholder Relationships: Deliver services that meet client expectations and Nedbank standards by ensuring compliance with Service Level Agreements, Operational Level Agreements, and project timelines.
- Advise clients by providing professional solutions that align with their business needs.
- Ensure that professional solutions are delivered within agreed parameters and timelines.
- Facilitate the development of commercially viable relationships with clients through quality advice.
- Monitor and manage expectations of clients, service providers, vendors, partners, and other stakeholders.
- Actively engage to establish trust and respect among department members, direct reports, stakeholders, and management through proactive communication.
- Deliver best practice services that meet client expectations.
- Support and share information and knowledge with peers across departments and functions.
- Manage Internal Processes: Operationalize divisional strategy by ensuring all supervisors and first-line managers prioritize work in alignment with divisional goals.
- Empower first-line managers with effective performance measures that align with strategy by clearly defining roles and responsibilities.
- Leverage professional expertise to enable strategy and ensure proposed solutions are embedded within it.
- Select appropriate professional frameworks and supporting technologies in line with agreed architecture and expected returns on investment.

- 5 - 10 years in Management
- 3 - 5 years in Technical roles
- Technical expertise in an Enterprise Storage Environment
- Proficient in daily operational duties and functions of a Storage and Backup team.
- Advanced Diplomas/National 1st Degrees
- Tertiary Qualification/formal accreditation in a Professional field
- MMP/SMP / MM or equivalent
- BSc in Computer Science
- BComm in Information Technology
- Postgraduate management qualification
- MBA
- Demonstrated experience in managing large-scale Storage and Backup environments.
- Strong leadership capabilities and experience in managing technical teams.
- Comprehensive knowledge of Storage Subsystem setup, configuration, and maintenance.
- Excellent understanding of VMWARE infrastructure and physical servers.
- Familiarity with security protocols and disaster recovery procedures.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and capacity to work under pressure.
