Role purpose:

The core responsibility of the business integration specialist role is:
To support the design and implementation of solutions/capabilities that will ensure the strategic expansion of the FTTx department.
To support the management of operational efficiencies with an emphasis on order management within the FTTx department.

This will entail a detailed focus on the key aspect of order management in order to improve customer journey experience, ensure the inclusion of FTTx technical requirements onto relevant roadmaps and improve the conversion of orders created to cash.


Your responsibilities will include:


Systems, Processes and Automation:


Responsible for a broad understanding of the FTTx systems architecture, both within Vodacom as well as of selected business partners.

Identify opportunities for innovative automation and integration within Vodacom systems (convergence) as well as those of third-party infrastructure providers.

Lead the overall technical design and delivery of solutions to ensure these are delivered through the agreed delivery processes, guiding the technical teams as applicable to ensure successful end to end solution e.g.

facilitation of configuration, participation in testing, rollout coordination, co-ordinate system integration across multiple teams.
Define technical workflows to enable business capabilities by documenting and prioritizing process/system change requests.
Continually assess, maintain, and re-evaluate in order to optimise or automate existing business and system processes.
Provide guidance to product, sales and service delivery teams to ensure alignment on new initiatives implemented.
Facilitate solution compliance to security, privacy, and regulatory needs.
Advocate adoption of new technologies into business processes, capabilities and solutions.


Order Management:


Support the order management process by identifying fallouts and addressing them timeously in order to meet the connections and revenue targets.

Ensure alignment of customer acquisition, fulfilment and retentions business and systems processes between internal and external business partners within order management.

Review and analyse the effectiveness and efficiency of existing key areas of system processes, and then support the design and implementation/development for improving and enhancing those areas.

Work with system support team (Technology Team and EBU IT) to identify and resolve repetitive and critical end user system issues by a) initiating system improvement/enhancement projects and b) initiating refresher/new training with learning & development team to ensure end user knowledge gap is closed.


Reporting:


Work with the reporting team to initiate and ensure monitoring tools, control measures with Revenue Assurance and analytics are in place for business and system processes.

Conduct detailed analysis on daily, weekly, and monthly performance of the orders created in the pipeline.

Provide business intelligence to the FTTx organization on the efficiency of the orders in the pipeline and conversion rate of orders created to cash monthly.

Perform impact analysis by initiating ad-hoc reports on all production issues and recommend appropriate solutions.


Job Experience/Education
Matric is essential
Relevant 3 year Bachelor's Degree or National Diploma in in Engineering or IT Studies (essential)
A minimum of 3 to 5 years of experience preferable within the Telecoms industry


Job Knowledge:

In-depth understanding of the Fixed and Mobile environment
In-depth understanding of the OSS / BSS systems and processes (FTTX advantageous).
Ability to understand IT systems
Ability to understand business and system processes together with customer experience journeys.


Skills:

Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal)
Proficient with Microsoft Excel, Power Point, Visio and Word
Analytical thinking e.g., analysing data trends and anomalies
Logical reasoning e.g., problem solving ability
Understanding of the Agile Development processes
Proficiency in programming languages and data structures
Adapting and Responding to Change
Entrepreneurial and Commercial Thinking
