    Assistant Store Manager - Clicks Design Quarter

    Job Summary: We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Assistant Store Manager to join our team at Clicks Design Quarter. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading and directing the store operations team to achieve sales, profit, and compliance targets.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Lead and direct the store operations team to ensure efficient operation of the store and delivery of excellent customer service.
    • Manage and control all operational activities of the store, including expenses, stock management, shrinkage, general housekeeping, and administration.
    • Schedule staff in line with the Group's labour policy and the relevant labour model to ensure each department is fully and appropriately staffed.
    • Execute customer service initiatives in-store and take corrective action to result in a great customer experience.
    • Maintain sound working relationships with stakeholders to ensure business objectives are achieved and opportunities are maximised.
    • Monitor customer trends, demographics, and needs, and local competitors' activity to capitalise on opportunities.
    • Drive cohesion, consistency, and integration between the store operation, pharmacy, and clinic teams.
    • Demonstrate a high performing business culture that delivers employee affiliation, customer satisfaction, and shareholder value.
    • Support the Group's vision to be the customer's first choice health and beauty retailer by living and driving the company values.

    Requirements:

    • Grade 12 (Maths 50% and English 50%)
    • Bachelor's degree or Diploma in retail/finance management, pharmacy, or related field
    • Minimum 2 years' experience in a store management role within a retail/FMCG store operations environment or successful completion of the Clicks Trainee Store Management Programme
    • Financial management experience, including budgets, profit and loss statements, financial ratios, etc.

    Competencies:

    • Sound understanding and application of financial management principles
    • Strong retail/FMCG background and understanding of merchandising and promotions principles
    • Knowledge of stock, cost, risk, and compliance management procedures
    • Knowledge of customer service excellence
    • Knowledge of labour legislation and IR practices
    • Knowledge of competency-based interviewing
    • Solid managerial skills, results-driven, planning and organising skills, problem-solving skills, strong customer orientation, and ability to lead and supervise
