We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Insurance Veterinary Nurse to join our team.

In this role, you will be responsible for validating pet insurance claims, managing costs associated with medical history assessments, and providing exceptional customer service to clients and service providers.

  • Cost management in determining the pets medical history and related claims
  • Liaise telephonically with clients, veterinarians, vet assistants, vet nurses etc.
  • Validation of pet claims according to the various insurance policies in place;
  • Liaising with clients and service providers
  • Finalise all reports and administration
  • Making decisions, handle all administration and telephonic queries arising around that
  • Quantification by drafting a scope of work and finalizing the cost of the claim by looking into reports and previous medical history records.
  • Managing the cost from the start of the claim until the claim is finalised within the set parameters and agreed scope of work
  • Handling and resolving complaints and queries from clients,
  • Conduct all the above to the required performance and quality standards that are in place
  • Operating in a corporate office environment. (Working from the office)

Qualifications Essential**- Matric

  • A tertiary veterinary nursing qualification
  • Computer literacy with MS Excel and MS Word being core competencies

Advantageous

  • Registration at the veterinary council
  • Experience in a Pet insurance environment
  • Veterinary Experience
