    Job Description:

    As a Business Developer, you will play a key role in identifying and pursuing new business opportunities to drive revenue growth and expand our market presence in the Northern Cape region.

    Reporting to the [relevant manager/executive], you will be responsible for:


    • Researching and identifying potential clients, partners, and business opportunities in the Northern Cape region.
    • Building and maintaining strong relationships with key stakeholders, including clients, industry associations, and government agencies.
    • Developing and implementing strategic business development plans to achieve sales targets and objectives.
    • Identifying emerging market trends, customer needs, and competitive threats to inform business strategy and decision-making.
    • Collaborating with cross-functional teams, including sales, marketing, and product development, to develop customized solutions and proposals for clients.
    • Participating in networking events, trade shows, and industry conferences to promote our brand and generate leads.
    • Negotiating and closing deals with clients, ensuring mutually beneficial agreements that meet both their needs and ours.
    • Tracking and reporting on sales performance, market trends, and business development activities to management

    Qualifications and Skills:

    • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field. MBA preferred.

    Experience and skills required:

    • Proven experience in business development, sales, or a related role,
    • Strong understanding of business development principles, sales techniques, and market dynamics.
    • Excellent networking and relationship-building skills, with the ability to establish rapport with clients and stakeholders at all levels.
    • Strategic thinker with the ability to identify opportunities, solve problems, and make informed decisions.
    • Results-oriented mindset with a track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets and objectives.
    • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to articulate ideas and influence others effectively.
    • Strong negotiation and persuasion skills, with the ability to drive consensus and close deals.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and other relevant software applications.
    • Valid driver's license and willingness to travel within the Northern Cape region as needed.
