A well known, 3 Star Resort, situated in Limpopo is seeking an expierenced and professional, Assistant Restuarant Manager to provide high level of customer service and the efficient performance of restaurant activities aimed at generating sales and effective business control and to ensure efficient and smooth running of the restaurant by ensuring optimal level of stock, planning of staff roster, departmental needs and the overall management of the Restaurant.


Main duties include;

  • Daily Management of restaurant staff.
  • Manage restaurant income and expenses according to budget and profits.
  • Do month‐end procedures and stock take
  • Manage GP's and sales mix.
  • Compile and manage restaurant budget.
  • Management of stock assets to ensure compliance with the organizational policies & procedures.
  • Plan restaurant stock level, pricing & ordering of stock
  • Liaise with clients and suppliers.
  • Marketing for the Restaurant.
  • Check deliveries against delivery note as they arrive
  • Maintain hygienic standard of the restaurant on a daily basis.
  • Filing and other related administrative work.
  • Implementation and Management of the Company's Financial and HR Policies and Procedures.
  • Implementation and Management of the Company's Health and Safety regulations in the department.
  • Evaluation of department performance, Finance & Staff performance.
  • Planning of staff rosters and leave.
  • Displaying of products and Restaurant layout.
  • Liaise with various departments.
  • Conduct training needs analysis and in‐house training of the staff.
  • Receiving of GRV's and processing it.


  • Financial system

  • Cuisine
  • Data programming.
  • Upload and download of sales information.
  • Sales and stock reports.
  • Stock control.
  • Finance procedure for month end.
  • Cash up of daily intakes of the Restaurant.
  • Perform any other reasonable duties as delegated by the Restaurant Manager.

Required skills, knowledge, and personal attributes;

  • Grade 1
  • Relevant Certificate / Diploma
  • Formal training.
  • Extensive experience in a Management environment.
  • Extensive experience in a financial environment.
  • Knowledge of Cuisine would be an advantage
  • Knowledge in MS word, Excel & E‐mail.
  • Related experience
  • Trade outlets & Restaurant Management.
