JUNIOR ENVIRONMENTAL SCIENTIST
A firm of Consulting Engineers is seeking a Junior Environmental Scientist for their office in Cape Town. The salary will be market related and dependant on the applicant's qualifications and experience.


RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Compilation of reports (basic assessments, scoping reports, environmental impact assessments, audit reports, etc).
  • Assistance with dayto day administration of projects, including public participation associated with projects.
  • Planning and completing environmental audits.
  • Undertaking onsite environmental monitoring, training, and guidance to contractors.
  • Review of contractors Quality Control Plans and Construction Method Statements.
  • Compiling proposal and project reports.
  • General office and project related admin, where required.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

  • Relevant degree (BSc or BTech) in Environmental Science or Environmental Management or related field. Postgraduate degree will be an added advantage.
  • Efficient in the use of Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint), Microsoft Office Projects (advantageous).
  • At least 5 years' post qualification experience in the environmental impact assessment and monitoring field.

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Own Vehicle
  • Valid Driver's Licence
  • Willingness to travel (where required)
