    Job Summary:

    • As the Plant Planning Manager at the Vehicle Manufacturing Plant in Coega, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing and optimizing the production planning processes.
    • Your responsibilities will include developing strategic production plans, coordinating with various departments, and ensuring efficient utilization of resources to meet production targets.
    • We are seeking a seasoned professional with a strong background in manufacturing planning, excellent analytical skills, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.

    Key Responsibilities:

    Production Planning:

    • Develop and implement comprehensive production plans to meet manufacturing targets and customer demands.
    • Collaborate with the production, procurement, and logistics teams to ensure seamless execution of production schedules.

    Capacity Optimization:

    • Analyze production capacity and resource utilization to identify opportunities for optimization.
    • Work closely with department heads to address capacity constraints and implement solutions.

    Demand Forecasting:

    • Collaborate with the sales and marketing teams to understand market demand and incorporate forecasts into production planning.
    • Adjust production plans based on real-time demand fluctuations.

    Inventory Management:

    • Oversee inventory levels to ensure alignment with production plans and minimize excess stock.
    • Implement inventory control measures to reduce carrying costs while maintaining production efficiency.

    Cross-functional Collaboration:

    • Liaise with various departments, including manufacturing, engineering, and quality assurance, to ensure effective communication and alignment with production plans.
    • Foster a collaborative environment to streamline information flow and address potential bottlenecks.

    Continuous Improvement:

    • Implement and drive continuous improvement initiatives in production planning processes.
    • Proactively identify areas for improvement and implement best practices to enhance overall operational efficiency.

    Qualifications and Experience:

    • Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Operations Management, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
    • Minimum of 8 years of experience in production planning and operations management within the automotive manufacturing industry.
    • Proficient in production planning software and ERP systems.
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
    • Excellent communication and leadership abilities.
