Job Overview

The ideal candidate will possess strong financial acumen and leadership capabilities to oversee the Treasury, Finance, Procurement, IT, Risk, and Admin functions of the organisation.

Main Responsibilities

Bachelor of Commerce with a major in Accounting is essential.
A minimum of 5 years' experience in a finance function is required.
Good knowledge of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) is necessary.
Syspro experience is an added advantage.
Strong planning and organisational skills are crucial.
This role requires a motivated team player.

Key Requirements

Accountability

The successful candidate will report directly to the Chief Financial Officer.

Finance Function

Manage and oversee the Finance department.
Review monthly management accounts.
Be actively involved in the annual budget process and the annual external audit.
Submit Value-Added Tax (VAT) returns for the respective entities.
Manage commercial investments via the Trust.
Prepare financial accounting and reporting.
Compile annual financial statements and ensure compliance adherence.

Treasury Function

Administer bank accounts.
Determine cash flow requirements.
Liaise with financial institutions on all statutory compliance matters.
Monitor and manage the organisation's cash investments.
Authorise weekly and monthly payments.
Attend to all other Treasury-related matters.

Administrative Function

Manage administrative functions where needed.
Renew office equipment contracts.
Manage schedules of contracts and Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
Facilitate annual insurance renewal.
Review claims submitted, ensuring accuracy.
Ensure accurate processing of finance claims.
Represent the organisation as a South African Revenue Service (SARS) Representative.

Risk Management Function

Track organisation risk and compliance, monitoring for acceptable levels.
Liaise with relevant departments to ensure compliance on risk items.
Maintain risk registers and legislation compliance.
Prepare quarterly reports for the Risk Committee.

Procurement Function

Manage and oversee personnel, strategic, and operational procurement functions.

Information Technology Function

Manage and oversee the IT department and outsourced consultants to meet IT requirements.

Packages and Remuneration

R630,000.00 per annum (cost to company) - negotiable
