Job Summary:


Responsibilities:

Supervision and Leadership:


  • Oversee and manage painting projects & Contracts, ensuring quality workmanship and adherence to safety standards.
  • Lead a team of painters, providing guidance, support, and training as needed.

Project Management:


  • Help plan and schedule painting projects, including resource allocation and timelines.
  • Monitor project progress and make adjustments as necessary to ensure timely completion.

Driving and Travel:


  • Hold a valid driver's license with a clean record.
  • Travel to different sites, including the Transkei and rural areas, to oversee and coordinate painting projects.

Construction Background:


  • Utilize construction knowledge to assess project requirements and implement effective painting solutions.
  • Collaborate with construction teams to integrate painting activities seamlessly into overall project plans.

Flexibility:


  • Demonstrate flexibility in working hours to accommodate project needs and deadlines.
  • Adapt to changing project requirements and address unforeseen challenges proactively.

Requirements:


  • Minimum of 3 years of driving experience with a clean driver's license.
  • Background in construction is advantageous.
  • Willingness to travel to different sites, including the Transkei and rural areas.
  • Flexibility in working hours to meet project demands.
  • Proficiency in English, Afrikaans, and Xhosa is beneficial.

Qualifications:


  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Relevant certifications or training in painting and supervision.

Skills:


  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent project management and organizational abilities.
  • Effective communication in English, Afrikaans, and Xhosa.
  • Problemsolving and decisionmaking capabilities.
  • Knowledge of safety protocols in construction and painting.
