We are looking an Account Managers based in Pinetown.

We are looking for someone with sales knowledge, who is customer focused with excellent planning, engagement, negotiation and execution skills.

About the Role:


The Account Manager will be responsible for managing the Hospital Accounts in KZN to achieve designated sales target levels by developing profitable business with new and existing customers.

The incumbent will be responsible for building and growing our Health and Medical Solution focus brands in line with go to market strategy.

This incumbent will be responsible for the direct sales process and report directly to the Key Account Manager - Private Hospital.

What You Will Do:


  • Develop and implement sales strategies for growing large accounts. Identify stakeholders and map sales processes for effective sales strategies to meet and exceed sales targets;
  • Find and cultivate new opportunities within existing accounts. Ensure the proposals, contractual terms, and pricing align with Essity's financial strategy and move the customer within the value creation journey;
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, increasing customer advocacy levels and positioning Essity as a trusted strategic partner;
  • Have the ability to demonstrate to respective customers best practices around the portfolios we sell (Clinical and Financial);
  • Negotiate contracts and position products against competitors. Understand the customers' needs and pain points through effective questioning and active listening;
  • Collaborate internally with clinical sales representatives, sales managers, account managers, customer services and marketing to meet sales targets and ensure customer satisfaction, taking ownership of strategic account plans;
  • Manage Promotional Budgets and building of Promotional Grids working alongside marketing and sales operations to ensure that promotional executions are completed within the specified time range;
  • Introduce new products/services to clients and organize visits to current and potential clients to drive sales expansion;
  • Conduct and manage customer reviews of a regular basis i.e. Monthly / Quarterly / Annual, based on Market related data and infield sales intelligence;
  • Drive Formulae Compliance to improve respective awards;
  • Manage Customer infill rates and feedback on sales order processing including backorder reporting, and stock management forecasting for customer.

Who You Are:


  • Must have matric and a post matric qualification in Sales or Marketing or Medical related field;
  • A minimum min 3 years Account Management sales experience in the hospital industry;
  • Must have a valid RSA Driver's License;
  • Proficient use and knowledge of Microsoft Office package and clear understanding of reading data (market
  • Nielsens and internal);
  • Must have a good understanding and working knowledge of Account Management principles;
  • Must be organized, deadline driven with excellent attention to detail and numeric accuracy;
  • Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal) and be fluent in English;
  • Must be strategically agile in understanding all business components and how they fit together;
  • Must be collaborative at all levels internally, externally, cross functionally.
