Are you someone who can:
- Analyse and interpret Financial Statements to determine deal structures
- Collaborate closely with coverage teams in FNB to identify opportunities to provide trade solutions?
- Understand and stay close to the needs, demands, perceptions and requirements of a client portfolio to ensure successful deal origination and client servicing?
- Understand key competitors, global trends, sector dynamics and key macro environmental forces to analyse and identify Bankwide opportunities and challenges. This includes participation and involvement with industry/regulatory forums (where relevant)
- Understand the critical microenvironmental impacts and relationships i.e., client performance trends, financial data, debt profile, gearing, projected cash flows, operations to identify and persuade stakeholders to adopt differentiated funding solutions and trade instruments and guarantees?
- Understand the Bank's credit policies and lending criteria and be confident to present to a national credit committee and to debate sustainable levels of debt and debt carrying capacity for prospective clients with the committee?
- Understand various trade instruments including Letters of Credit, trade term such as FOB,FCA FAS etc?
- Build and maintain strong relationships internally with coverage teams who will assist with origination for new leads and opportunities and externally with recurring clients?
- Consider risks related to the deals and obtain credit approval from relevant forums?
- Be tenacious in driving internal efficiency and client service?
- Have a minimum of a relevant BCom Degree in Law, Accounting, Commerce, Finance or related (Postgraduate qualification preferred)
- Have a minimum of 5 years' Trade and Guarantee experience (Credit experience will be an added benefit)
- Have relevant sales and origination experience with an existing network of clients
- Can build strong relationships internally with support teams and externally with new and existing clients of the bank
