Hospitality and Outdoor - New Vacancy - Safari Manager

Mkuze, Kwa-Zulu Natal

Requirements:


  • Previous experience in a similar role
  • Relevant FGASA qualification (Culture/ Adventure/ Nature Site)
  • Valid RSA Driver's License and PDP


  • First Aid Level

  • Skippers License
  • Track record of running safari and activity department
  • Stong understanding of the hospitality industry and guest service standards
  • Understanding of 'Fairtrade'
  • Physically fit, a leader, commitment to sustainability, creative and innovative

Description

  • Manage the daily operations of the Safari and guest activity departments
  • Oversee all Safari staff, providing leadership, training, and support
  • Ensure health and safety of guests and staff.
  • Manage game viewing vehicles and boats, ensuring safety and maintenance standards are met
  • Expand the current range of game drives, boat cruises, and cultural trips to include more active and interesting offerings for our guests.
  • Drive revenue through effective booking strategies at the reservation stage and for inhouse guests
  • Prioritize sustainability initiatives, aligning with Fair Trade principles
  • Collaborate with other departments to enhance the overall guest experience
