The Team:


S&P Global's Market Intelligence Quality team oversees the data quality management for all research teams in the research content collection department.

As a data quality analyst on our team, you will be responsible for working independently yet within a team environment to improve productivity, morale and cohesiveness within the team and overall Quality assurance group.

You will strive to ensure the highest possible levels of data quality, timeliness, and completeness on a daily basis. You'll be responsible for helping to drive production and quality and improving process/content workflows across the group.


Responsibilities:

The role of the data quality analyst involves evaluating large data set for quality and accuracy, complying with set standards and guidelines of the project


Key responsibilities include:
Ensure accuracy, completeness, and consistency of data through audit adhering to quality standards set for the project
Analyse, question, and manipulate data according to defined business rules and procedures
Identify and resolve data quality issues making sure to meet data quality objectives
Work with data research team to train and correct quality errors
Develop process improvements to enhance overall data quality
Develop and execute data clean up measures
Determine root cause for data quality errors
Determine business impact level for data quality issues and make recommendations for long-term solutions
Research and determine scope and complexity of issue to identify steps to fix issue
Identify areas of improvement to achieve data quality
Proactive in team meetings, and mentorship roles
Proactive in knowledge sharing and ideas


What We're Looking For:

You are a detail orientated person, that can make logical decisions based on what you review daily.


Key Qualifications and Skills:

Excellent attention to detail and high level of concentration
Strong communication skills along with exceptional grammar skills
Able to write and edit data/content of the project allocated
Strong multi-tasking skills. - Flexible and able to work in a team
Ability to meet deadlines
Quick learning with ability to work on multiple projects
Experience in strong qualitative skills is preferred
Experience in finance and relevant terminology is preferred
Experience in data and quality orientated role and knowledge of finance would be highly desirable
