Job Description:


  • Support hotelbased purchasing team members to ensure the effective operation of all aspects of the hotel levellevel purchasing department, inclusive of the receiving function and the distribution of materials within the hotels and stores. Perform periodic operational reviews of the purchasing function.
  • Lead the planning, organisation, direction, and control of the purchasing for your designated basket of categories (primarily Services such as MRO, Facility Management, Telecommunication). Ensure that the established level of quality products and services are purchased at the best value following total cost of ownership (TCO) principles, while adhering to Minor brand standards and operating procedures.
  • Adopt and execute Minor Supply Management strategies and procedures.
  • Review property Capex submissions for ROI projects, quality of goods, suppliers quotations and accuracy. Provide logístical input and negotiate terms for preferred logistic companies.
  • Perform spend analysis, develop procurement strategy for the Cluster / Country and obtain stakeholder buyin.
  • Set up, lead, or supervise new programmes, renegotiate existing programmes with suppliers or manufacturers, utilise crossfunctional teams whenever applicable.
  • Rationalise and standardise SKUs (products), categories and suppliers to leverage scale across portfolio and develop master catalogues.
  • Develop and maintain best in class reporting process and resources that can contribute to strengthen interactions with Minor Hotels leadership, stakeholders, and owner community.
  • Maintain records of supplier performance and hold meetings with key suppliers and stakeholders to address issues and to improve quality and delivery standards.
  • Materials Control system administration to maximise its potential in streamlining purchasing operations including data standardisation, digital tender management, and effective reporting.
  • Effectively centralise and manage supplier contracts and product data, inclusive of catalogue content, product specifications, photographs and descriptions, pricing and file retention.
  • Maintain confidential supplier files and databases including order logs, requisitions, purchase orders, pricing, certificate of product liability insurance and general supplier contracts.
  • Track compliance and identify hotels that are not following established purchasing and supply programmes and/or specifications.
  • Provide preopening support to new hotels to ensure that Brand Standards are met.

Qualifications:


  • Relevant diploma/ degree in related field
  • Must have prior procurement experience and least 5 years as a cluster or shared services Procurement Manager
