    Description

    Job Title: Regional General Manager/General Manager

    The primary objective of this position is to oversee the overall management of sales, marketing, operations, technical, and administrative functions within the branch. Key responsibilities include maintaining high operational standards, growing the branch, meeting deadlines, achieving budgets, and reducing crime levels.

    Key Requirements:

    • A post-matric qualification in General Management is advantageous.
    • Sales, Marketing, or Management diploma is advantageous.
    • At least 3 years of experience at a mid-management level.
    • Financial knowledge of budgets, forecasting, and profit and loss.
    • A Grade B Security Certificate (existing or obtainable on appointment).
    • Experience in the Security Industry is preferred.

    Responsibilities:

    Leadership:

    • To provide strong leadership to the branch and its employees.
    • To communicate the vision and strategy of the branch effectively.
    • To make timely decisions for the long-term success and development of the branch.

    Finance, Planning & Controls:

    • To submit budget plans and stretch targets for each aspect of the branch.
    • To ensure these targets are consistently met.
    • To manage and ensure accurate forecasting for the branch.
    • To manage the Branch Profit and Loss statement to sustain profitability and growth.
    • To manage effective collections for the branch.

    Sales:

    • To achieve the Branch Sales targets.
    • To conduct sales projections per geographical area with Regional Sales Managers.
    • To set sales and growth targets.
    • To analyze sales figures and provide data to support business decisions.
    • To assist direct reporting Sales Consultants in achieving sales targets.
    • To ensure debtors control for new clients and installations.
    • To handle client complaints.

    Dealer and IIP's:

    • To achieve the budgeted Dealer and IIP sales lines per month at the budgeted Revenue Per Unit.
    • To recruit and onboard additional Dealers and IIPs within the region/branch footprint.
    • To include Dealers and IIPs in the branch strategic plan and support them to achieve their individual contributions to the branch budgets.

    Operations:

    • To establish effective planning/production controls in all areas.
    • To maintain business functions to increase productivity, quality, and customer service while reducing costs.
    • To champion a customer-focused quality improvement culture.
    • To monitor customer service metrics regularly and take prompt actions where necessary.
    • To ensure sustained service levels throughout the branch.
    • To drive a community-driven proactive service throughout the branch.
    • To manage the branch fleet to prevent disruptions due to vehicles off the road.
    • To manage operational Area Managers to ensure operational excellence throughout the branch.
    • To attend client visits for contact crimes personally.

    Health, Safety and Environment:

    • To maintain health and safety policies and working procedures.
    • To ensure compliance with Company policies, SA laws, codes of practice, and corporate guidelines.

    Marketing:

    • To drive all marketing activations within the branch.
    • To drive customer perception within the branch and address issues highlighted in Customer Perception Surveys.
    • To drive a strong social media presence within the branch by identifying influencers and building good relationships with them.
    • To drive a culture of content creation to remain relevant in the social media space.
    • To implement OTT strategies effectively.
    • To drive proactive communications.

    Commercial:

    • To be proactive in reviewing customer requirements and feedback regularly.
    • To communicate with customers on a regular basis.
    • To ensure close liaison with the branch sales team.
    • To exploit new market and product opportunities through various external routes.
    • To create an environment where solutions to technical customer demand issues can be resolved creatively with commercially viable products.

    People Management:

    • To identify training and development needs among staff and coach accordingly.
    • To manage HR-related issues and staff development.
    • To complete necessary paperwork for the successful recruitment of terminated staff or new positions.

    Business Development:

    • To identify Residential Guarding and bulk sale opportunities with operational managers.
    • To generate proposals for bulk business/Residential Guarding sites.
    • To drive community involvement through operational collaborations and effective communication.
    • To manage the profitability of Residential Guarding schemes.

    Attrition:

    • To manage all elements of attrition.
    • To drive reconnections within the branch.
    • To analyze branch attrition and plan mitigating actions to remedy it.
    • To manage sales channels to minimize exposure to bad debt and financial difficulty.
