    Job Title: Senior Operational Finance Manager

    Gauteng, Johannesburg is the job location for this role.

    Responsibilities:

    • Lead and drive the Operational Finance area with overall responsibility for financial management in accordance with agreed business plans and annual budgets.
    • Provide monthly reporting originating from the policy administration system; ensure efficient and effective governance and compliance with processes;
    • Develop, implement, and monitor effective day-to-day operational finance processes; responsible for premium income, collections, credit control, and claims originating from the policy administration system; and simplify and automate operational finance processes, controls, and systems.
    • Ensure working knowledge of company statute, South African tax laws, and financial reporting standards including IFRS 17; demonstrate competence to learn and apply new rules and regulations.

    Requirements:

    • CA (SA) with a membership in good standing with the South African Institute of Chartered Accountants (SAICA);
    • Minimum of 5-years post articles experience coupled with 3+ years relevant insurance industry experience;
    • 3+ years in managing successful finance teams and ability to demonstrate experience in the development and enhancement of current business practices;
    • Experience working with executive teams and reporting into formal forums, namely boards and executive committees;

    Salary:

    R1,200,000 - R1,800,000 per annum, depending on experience.
