TERMS
As the Site HSE Supervisor (M/F/d), you will be assigned to a project by the Head of Department Construction & Commissioning HSE (GCH).
Your primary responsibility will be to monitor construction, pre-commissioning, and commissioning activities, ensuring compliance with established HSE regulations.You will work closely with the Site Manager (M/F/d), Site HSE Manager (M/F/d), and, if appointed, the Site HSE Engineer (M/F/d), authorized to oversee site-related activities.
- We are open to hiring either Freelancers or individuals interested in a Fixed-Term Contract.

:14th August 2023: - End of Work
:29th February 2024: - Onsite Working Hours (per regular week)
:56: - Accommodation and local transport expenses will be reimbursed based on submitted receipts.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Monitor and enforce adherence to HSE regulations during construction, precommissioning, and commissioning activities.
- Assist the Site HSE Manager or Site HSE Engineer (M/F/d) in implementing project and IMS tasks defined by Construction & Commissioning HSE (GCH).
- Execute specific HSE tasks independently or in collaboration with the Site HSE Manager/Site HSE Engineer (M/F/d).
- Provide HSE training and coordinate permittowork processes as needed.
- Report to the Head of Department Construction & Commissioning HSE (GCH) and the project organization, keeping them informed of HSE matters.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree in safety engineering or related field.
- Proven experience in overseeing HSE compliance in construction and commissioning projects.
- Petrochemical Industry experience, particularly from a mechanical and tank erection perspective.
- Previous experience with Sasol projects will be highly valued.
- Must be registered with SACPCMP (South African Council for the Project and Construction Management Professions).
- Preferred availability is immediate.
- Knowledge of HSE regulations and industry standards.
- Strong communication and leadership skills to work effectively with project teams.
- Ability to work independently and make decisions regarding HSE matters.
- Relevant certifications in HSE management will be an advantage.
