    Ensure that employees have an understanding of working safely and in accordance with Safety, Health, Risk, and Environment procedures. Follow SHEAR procedures when operating and provide training continuously to validate and enforce the importance of safety, Health and Environment to all employees. Coordinate incident and accident investigation as well as site Risk activities

  • Matric
  • Relevant Tertiary qualification in Safety/Health./Environment/Quality
  • SAMTRAC or equivalent – an advantage
  • ISO 9001/14001/18001 – an advantage
  • 2 years relevant experience
  • Must be computer literate
  • Strong analytical and interpretation skills
  • Innovation and adaptability.
  • Strong Managerial and hands-on leadership skills.
  • Possess a formal SABS ISO 9000, 14000, 18001, and auditing qualification.
  • Computer literate in Word, Excel and PowerPoint would also be desirable.
  • Proven track record of supervisory skills earned in a manufacturing environment.
  • The ability to interact with all role players, customers, and ISO/WCM Auditors at all levels.
  • The ability to organise, lead motivate and control.
  • Be a good communicator

  • To establish, Implement, control and manage all ISO systems, and SABS trade mark schemes at the Springs factory using the acquired knowledge and experience of ISO 9001, 14001 and Oshas18001 systems.
  • Identify, plan and organise training to ensure compliance of Safety, Health, Quality and Environmental processes, in addition to auditing the effectiveness of all training undertaken.
  • Initiate mandatory ISO requirement meetings, compilation of monthly reports, and maintain all quality records.
  • Maintain the legal register, ensuring that all employees understand the standards determined by the legislator, and that the company procedures are adhered to and amended as and when required.
  • Utilise WCM toolset in application of daily activities.
  • Any reasonable tasks given from time to time
  • Co-ordinate training to ensure that that training needs analysis and requirements are met.
  • Where necessary, provide for the training of employees and contractors e.g. induction.
  • Ensure that training records are maintained and updated.
