**MACHINE OPERATOR
**LICHTENBURG
and efficient operation of various machines to fulfil tasks for internal and external customers
.

Key Responsibilities:

Operate machines such as paper jogging, hand numbering, wire stitching, electric guillotine, perforating, electric

paper drilling, digital printers, and laminating machines.

Execute hands-on tasks including collating, creating flaps, sorting stitch-bound books, hand folding, ring binding,

laminating, photocopying, and shredding.

Conduct regular quality checks on output, ensuring adherence to printing and finishing standards.

Perform routine maintenance on machinery for optimal performance and troubleshoot mechanical issues.

Efficiently prioritize and manage multiple tasks to meet production deadlines.

Collaborate with the team to ensure timely task completion and the efficient operation of machines.

Communicate with colleagues to understand specific requirements and provide assistance and recommendations.

Collaborate with colleagues in copy shop, office, and stock services, providing relief and assistance when needed.

Participate in training programs to enhance skills, stay updated on industry trends, and propose process

improvements for enhanced efficiency and output quality.

Achieve critical outputs by ensuring the efficient operation of machines to meet internal and external customer

requirements.

Ensure accurate completion of tasks in hand numbering, perforating, cutting, stitching, folding, and binding.

Maintain working standards of machines to uphold quality and consistency.***
Minimum Requirements:
Grade 12 or equivalent NQF 4 qualification.

Knowledge regarding printing equipment.

1-year relevant experience in a specific trade
.

Skills and Characteristics:

Good hand-eye coordination.

Practical skills and knowledge of machinery maintenance and problem-solving.

Proficiency in operating various types of machines.

Ability to handle work pressure with meticulous and accurate work.

Customer-focused with excellent interpersonal effectiveness.

Computer literacy.

Fast learning skills.

Strong work ethics, including exceptional self-management skills - demonstrating the ability to plan, prioritize, and

adapt to changing conditions.

Problem-solving skills.

Ability to work well individually and as part of a team.
