Tasks will include, but are not limited to:_
Supervising of daytoday operational tasks associated with warehousing, despatches, and inventory control.
Scheduling and allocating duties to staff and managing staff resources to the changing needs.
Management of all material handling equipment and delivery vehicles.
Leading and motivating a diverse team to perform at their optimal level, this will include rostering and team performance.
Instruction/direction of general labour and acting on insubordination / poor performance.
General housekeeping of the warehouse and outside yard areas.
All goods must be loaded to a maximum load capacity without compromising the quality of the product and dispatched as quickly as possible.
Supervise warehouse team in pursuit of achieving OTIFEF >95% through control of direct and Indirect labour costs.
Physical control and management of inventory, which includes:
Ensure appropriate storage & handling in terms of access, safety, and longevity.
Control inventory by periodic stock counts and formal quarterly stock counts. Reconcile to XAL/AX.
Organizing and packing of stock items as demarcated.

Minimum Requirements and Attributes:

Tertiary Qualification/Certification in warehouse, despatching and logistics.
2 3 Years' experience in a similar role within a manufacturing environment.
Able to drive a forklift.
Highly organized person with a systemic approach to work.
Previous knowledge Geosynthetics would be advantageous.
Attention to detail and needs to be organised and deadline oriented.
A strong understanding of an ERP system.
Intermediate to advanced knowledge on excel.
Good understanding of safety requirements.
Willing to learn and curious.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills and ability to maintain mutually beneficial internal and external relationships.
Impeccable record in delivering results in terms of customer service, satisfaction, and cost optimization.
