Job Purpose

  • Research, develop and implement innovative, differentiated and datadriven recruitment strategies, aligned with business need, to attract, assess, secure diverse and suitably qualified talent to support the future growth and transformation of the organisation
    Responsibilities:

Attract Me Product & Service Delivery (End to End)

  • Leverage specialist talent acquisition and business (commercial) knowledge and skill to provide an endtoend specialist talent acquisition and onboarding service to an allocated client segment (functional area) in the group
  • Take accountability and ownership of all vacancies in the business area and build talent pipelines ahead of demand aligned to the business talent strategies and requirements
  • Take full accountability for the achievement of critical business success measures for the areas you support including but not limited to: quality of hire, time to hire etc.
  • Develop, facilitate, and execute all phases of the talent acquisition process

Vacancy Approval

  • Familiarise the Hiring Manager with the talent acquisition process and his/her critical role in attracting and acquiring top talent
  • Agree project timelines and ways of working to expedite the process, e.g., method and frequency of updates, availability for interviews, importance of feedback etc
  • Identify and implement efficient and effective talent acquisition methods and strategies customised to the role and market segment, and based on your deep knowledge of both the business strategy and the internal and external labour markets
  • Develop sourcing strategy per role, with consideration to DE&I, seniority, urgency, scarcity of skill, available sourcing channels etc.
  • Through talent intelligence and strategic initiatives, strategically and proactively identify and build relationships with targeted talent pools ahead of demand
  • Contribute data and insights to inform and enable investment in effective sourcing channels
  • Effectively sell the organisation and employer brand, the employee value proposition, the business area, and the position
  • Ensure DE&I priorities are considered at all stages of the attraction and screening process

Assessment, selection, and pre-employment screening

Offer Management

  • Facilitate the offer management process to ensure that all governance principles and policies are adhered to
  • Ensure all approvals are obtained in line with the relevant group approval and reward policies
  • Collaborate with the hiring manager and HR partners during the offer process, e.g., Reward and Recognition, Shared Services

Onboarding

  • Prepare all necessary documents required for onboarding to be completed

Talent Attraction Systems, Data, Insights & Reporting

  • Proactively identify technical problems that arise that may affect data and/or delivery and suggest possible solutions to address these
  • Report on key hiring metrics, including, but not limited to time to hire, quality of hire, diversity etc. and show continuous improvement against best practise metrics
  • Compile monthly updates for business leadership about talent acquisition initiatives, showing progress and impact

Finance, Risk & Governance

  • Show business & commercial impact of the capability in the CLUSTER and continuously improve this over time
  • Ensure CLUSTER talent attraction and acquisition compliance with all relevant regulations e.g., LRA, BCEA, EEA, POPIA
  • Implement all hiring practices within the group policy and governance frameworks e.g., Recruitment policy, Assessment framework policy, Reward Governance policy, Employee referral policy
  • Proactively contribute to and provide input into the enterprise talent acquisition strategy, policy, processes, and practices and ensure these are effectively implemented in the CLUSTER

Stakeholder Relationships

  • Build sustainable and mutually beneficial relationships with the business and HR partners through the provision of top talent and talent intelligence
  • Engage with Talent Attraction & Acquisition peers to share best practice and elevate the practice as a whole
  • Engage with wider Talent Attraction & Acquisition practice, HR and business projects and initiatives to fully understand the organisation's context and priorities
  • Engage with the business and HR to cocreate business demand/workforce plans
  • Provide relevant labour market insights to support business transformation and workforce considerations
  • Actively engage with internal partners to gain insight, elevate processes, and collaborate to deliver results, e.g., Talent Management, Reward, Diversity, Equity and Inclusion, HR Partners etc.

Essential Qualifications

  • Advanced Diplomas/National 1st Degrees

Preferred Qualification

  • Bachelor of Arts: Human Resource Management

Minimum Experience Level

  • At least five years managing all phases of the talent acquisition and hiring process (in a Corporate / Agency environment)
  • Strong internal stakeholder relationship
