    Description

    PBT Group is seeking a skilled Java Developer to design and implement innovative software solutions that meet the needs of the organization.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Macro Environment
      • Analyze the macro environment to identify new opportunities, trends, and capabilities that can add value to the development work.
      • Suggest process improvements to enhance business value and benefits.
      • Prepare and share recommendations for process and systems enhancements.
      • Participate in team collaboration sessions to increase understanding of the working environment.
    • Business Alignment
      • Collaborate with BT and Business stakeholders to create integrated roadmaps for delivering business requirements.
    • Solution Design and Build
      • Develop solution design documentation.
      • Apply standards and governance to develop the best-fit solution.
      • Coordinate coding efforts and track progress.
      • Address problems and risks arising from coding efforts.
    • Test
      • Design test scripts/test cases to determine system readiness and usability.
    • Service Handover
      • Provide second-tier support as required.

    Requirements:

    • 8+ years of Java experience.
    • Familiarity with agile methodology.
    • Strong back-end and front-end development skills.
    • Strong SQL skills, especially on MSSQL.
    • Solid experience in SOA, Microservices, Docker, Java, Angular, NodeJS, Bootstrap, Spring boot, Hibernate, Tomcat, Jboss, Nexus, Teamcity, Maven, Kafka, and workflow tools like TIBCO AMX and rules engines like Drools.
    • In-depth knowledge of relevant system/application development language, relevant development frameworks, coding for security best practices, agile/DevOps principles, bespoke BU/FA knowledge, corporate and investment banking domain, and relevant banking regulations.
    • Worked in an Agile/DevOps environment (preferred).

    Qualifications/Certification:

    Degree in relevant Technology OR Science OR Engineering field of study.
