    Description

    Senior Service Technician

    Our client is a leading manufacturer and supplier of packaging machinery and equipment to the food and beverage industries.

    The Senior Service Technician will be involved in the installation, maintenance & servicing of end-of-line packaging machinery for food and beverage companies.

    This role requires experience in visiting clients and communicating effectively with them when addressing technical issues.

    The successful candidate will be the face of the company and the first point of contact for customers.

    Duties Responsibilities

    • Installation commissioning of end-of-line packaging equipment
    • Repairs maintenance fault-finding on equipment
    • Manage all maintenance parts
    • Deal directly with overseas suppliers
    • Communicate directly with customers
    • Provide training for technicians staff in customer's factories
    • Travel to customer sites for installations maintenance breakdowns

    Desired Experience Qualification

    • National Senior Certificate
    • 8 10 years' experience working on packaging equipment in a food and beverage environment
    • Strong electrical experience
    • A service-driven approach to dealing with customers maintaining customer relationships
    • Able to cope under pressure respond quickly to customer requests
    • A professional manner excellent interpersonal communication skills
    • Fluent in English Afrikaans
    • Presentable confident to deal directly with customers
    • Flexible willing to work longer hours when required
    • Willing to travel
    • Driver's license

    Ensure timely completion of tasks and meet deadlines.

    Develop and maintain strong relationships with customers and suppliers.

    Stay up-to-date with industry developments and advancements.
