Job Overview:
We are seeking a creative and detail-oriented Assistant Interior Decorator to join our dynamic team.

The ideal candidate will have a passion for design, a keen eye for aesthetics, and a strong understanding of current interior design trends.

The Assistant Interior Decorator will work closely with the lead decorator to contribute to the conceptualization, planning, and execution of interior design projects.

This role requires a combination of artistic flair, organizational skills, and effective communication.

Responsibilities:

Client Interaction:
Collaborate with clients to understand their design preferences, functional needs, and budget constraints.
Present design concepts and mood boards to clients for approval.
Maintain positive client relationships and ensure their satisfaction throughout the project.


Design Development:
Assist in developing design concepts based on client preferences, space requirements, and overall project goals.
Create and modify floor plans, 3D renderings, and design sketches to visualize proposed concepts.
Research and source appropriate furniture, fabrics, lighting, and other design elements.


Project Coordination:
Collaborate with vendors, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure the timely and successful execution of design projects.
Assist in project management tasks, including budget tracking, timeline monitoring, and quality control.


Material and Color Selection:
Provide input on material and color selections, considering the overall design vision, functionality, and client preferences.
Stay updated on the latest trends and innovations in interior design materials and finishes.


Space Planning:
Assist in space planning, ensuring optimal use of available space while adhering to design principles and client requirements.


Presentation Skills:
Prepare and deliver presentations to clients, showcasing design concepts, material samples, and visual representations.


Requirements:
Previous experience or internship in interior design or decoration.
Proficient in design software such as AutoCAD, SketchUp, and Adobe Creative Suite.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Detail-oriented with excellent organizational abilities.
Knowledge of current design trends, materials, and industry practices.
Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
Time management skills to handle multiple projects simultaneously.


Preferred Qualifications:

Membership in a relevant professional organization (e.g., ASID, IIDA).
Familiarity with sustainable and eco-friendly design practices.
Knowledge of local building codes and regulations.
