The Incumbent is responsible for the overall management of Geochem contracts, invoice review, sales pipeline for Geochem SA and general administrative support to the Regional Geochem Manager.

Job Description:

Geochem Pricing standardization
Contract registration and record keeping
Contract monitoring and general management of all Geochem contracts
Contract increase management and record keeping
Compiling and submission of increase letters to clients
Liaise with Management and Finance on the increase % applicable
Inclusion of scope changes and SANAS requirements on client contracts
Identification of revenue leakage on contracts and noncontractual big projects. Record cost saving implementations for quarterly review
Implementation of preventative measures that affects revenue loss
Liaise with Geochem Administrators/Section Managers on the implementation of preventative measures
Liaise with Geochem Administrators, Section Manager & IT on the implementation of preventative measures applicable to G
Share best practices with Geochem Laboratories
Monitor and record scope of work in the contracts vs. work conducted in the laboratory and communicate findings and recommendations to management
Identify review leakage on all invoices issued, to both internal and external customers. Record and track corrective actions taken
Assist Geochem Labs with drafting of Quotes and follow up on acceptance
Update and maintain Quote register and/or Sales Force. Upload all quotes >R100 on Sales Force and maintain the status of each quote
Regular reviews in G6 to ensure system is being utilized correctly
Where possible, do forecasting and planning for upcoming contracts or changes in scope for existing contracts. Communicate these findings to senior management team

Ensure efficient collaboration and co-ordination between relevant departments including SGS Legal Counsel, Lab Managers, Business Development Managers and Senior Management

Qualifications:

Education

Minimum 7 years' experience in an Analytical Lab at least 5 years at management level
Previous experience in contract management will be an added advantage
Mathematics/Financial background would be an added advantage
Solid Management/Senior Supervisory experience***
Experience
Minimum of 5 years' experience in a commercial laboratory environment
5 Year supervision at management level in a geochemical field
Extensive experience with laboratory operations
Demonstrated interpersonal and organisational skills
Good coordination and proven management skills
Advanced level of competency in MS Office Suite (Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook), to perform word processing, spreadsheet database tracking data and written client communications
Statistical evaluation techniques advantageous
Ability to work well under pressure and tight timelines
Ability to prioritize activities and be flexible to adjust to a variety of situations
Ability to effectively coordinate with various departments and levels of staff
Possesses excellent organizational and written/verbal communication skills
Must be fluent in English.
Possesses strong teamwork and project management skills
Results oriented with a strong performance, cost management, and bottomline orientation
Strong interpersonal skills and ability to depersonalize situations and focus on the business objectives
