JOB PURPOSE
- Take a lead in sourcing, negotiating, and managing the firm's direct and indirect investments in earlystage businesses.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Honours degree (finance, engineering, legal) and relevant commerce and engineering degree.
- Post graduate qualification MBA/ M.Com/MSc/CA / CFA and/or any relevant Masters degree (added advantage).
- FAIS RE 05 Certificate or must be obtained within 6 months of employment
EXPERIENCE
- 10 to 12 years of relevant investment experience, particularly in fund of funds(multimanager), within the venture capital/private equity space.
JOB DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develop and implement investment strategy and philosophy, deal origination strategy and project development strategy. Strategy review and adaptation.
- Lead an effective asset allocation framework.
- Proactively identify investment partners and opportunities.
- Lead and manage the whole investment process from deal sourcing through todisbursement.
- Portfolio management value enhancing strategies at investee company level,oversee postinvestment reviews and negotiating exits.
- Risk management and compliance.
- Manage, lead, mentor and advise investment team members.
- Stakeholder management and financial management.
