    Description

    Together with our client, we are seeking a Logistics Controller in Cape Town Northern Suburbs to handle daily receiving and processing of transport orders.

    Key Performance Areas:

    • Daily receiving and processing of transport orders.
    • Daily planning, routing, and scheduling of vehicles.
    • Risk management, including ensuring adequate insurance coverage for all loads and monitoring high-value loads from loading to delivery.
    • Adhering to booking slots for direct deliveries.
    • Daily measurement of Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) in accordance with each client's Service Level Agreement (SLA).
    • Building and managing professional relationships with key contacts at clients, warehouses, loading points, delivery points, and subcontractors.
    • Administration functions, including feeding all load data into the Transport Management System (TMS), reconciliation of Proof of Delivery (POD) documents, and recording and investigating in-transit claims.

    Skills and Experience Required:

    • Matric and relevant qualification.
    • Degree in Transport or Logistics
    • Minimum of 2-3 years' experience in a similar controller position within the transportation and logistics industry.
    • Excellent communication skills with daily contact with clients, dispatch teams, delivery points, subcontractors, and drivers.
    • Proficient computer literacy, including experience with transport operational systems, MS Word, PowerPoint, and above-average MS Excel skills.
    • Well-versed in email etiquette and MS Outlook with strong writing skills.
    • Professional and service-driven approach to dealing with clients and service providers.
    • Neat, punctual, and highly organised.
    • Ability and willingness to work long hours and within strict collection and delivery time constraints.

    Salary:

    R to R CTC per month depending on experience.
