The core purpose of the role

Key deliverables and outputs

Manage all Farmer contracting, from contracting stage, farmer deliveries and invoicing including verifying pricing and add on costs on farmer contracts as per signed contract and communicate invoce rate to the farmer for all deliveries due for payment and reconcile contracted to delivered tonnage as well as performs individual farmer reconciliations of maize delivered versus paid. Handle all queries from key stakeholders and make reasonable decisions with management assistance where necessary.
Prepare and submit report on farmer deliveries, contracted and priced on a monthly basis.
Have a good understanding of the loading schedule recon process, maize financing schedule and SAFEX margin and mtm movements.
Performs stock reconciliations by reconciling the total coop stocks to the financed stock, stocks by silo to the SAP stocks and Excel Stocks on a monthly basis and update SAP and excel stock with any relevant adjustments to stock.
Maintain stock levels of the GMO and Mycotoxin Test Kits at H.O. and all 4 mills. and oversee that all GMO, Mycotoxin and Pesticide testing and reporting by UFS, MQL M&L Laboratories are summarised, administered and filed in line with a good audit system.
Assist in running the the tendering process, if any for Maize Transporters and on a monthly basis ensure that communication is sent to transporters for any transport rate changes on a monthly basis to the mills and to the various transporters.
Implement best practice Financial Accounting by ensuring that reconciliations are free of long outstanding and unexplained reconciling items
