    Senior Actuarial Analyst

    Our client, a leading Banking and Financial Services provider in South Africa, is seeking a highly skilled Senior Actuarial Analyst to join their life corporate actuarial team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing actuarial solutions to internal and external clients.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Monthly IFRS reserving results completion for the Life Licence of the company
    • Quarterly and Annual SAM returns completion for the Life licences
    • Investigation of results to identify trends and opportunities for improvement in existing processes
    • Assistance with process automation in the life valuations space to enhance efficiency
    • Documentation of existing and new processes
    • Input and completion of Actuarial elements of the company's ORSA returns
    • Budgeting input for the life licences
    • Basis setting exercises participation
    • Results communication to actuarial managers
    • Actuarial Committee and Board packs completion

    Team Contribution:

    • Mentorship and guidance of junior staff
    • Culture building initiatives participation (staff surveys etc.)
    • Support for corporate responsibility initiatives
    • Stay abreast in the field of expertise and deliver on expectations by identifying training needs
    • Recruitment talent support following the recruitment process
    • Talent pool identification through career conversations; utilising the talent grid principles and developing retention programmes
    • Self and staff understanding and embracing of the company's Vision and Values

    Qualifications:

    • Advanced Diplomas/National 1st Degrees (Bachelor of Commerce, Bachelor of Science)

    Experience:

    • 2 – 4 years in the Corporate Actuarial environment
    • Life Corporate Actuarial experience
    • Minimum of 6 – 8 exams (via Assa)
