    Job Title: Bachelor of Education (FAL: Sesotho) (Part-Time)

    A Part-Time lecturer is required to teach the Bachelor of Education in Sesotho as a First Additional Language.

    Duties and Responsibilities:

    • Teach and engage students based on module-specific requirements, adhering to module pace guidelines.
    • Manage academic resources, including materials, and consult with the Information Centre when necessary.
    • Update learning management systems and provide feedback to students.
    • Prepare students for assessments, identify at-risk students, and develop assessments aligned with Central Academic Team briefings.
    • Monitor student engagement and assessment submissions, escalating concerns if needed.
    • Attend and participate in academic meetings across faculties.
    • Analyse student module results and reflect on areas for improvement.
    • Support monitoring of at-risk students in assigned modules.
    • Pursue academic professional development opportunities to enhance teaching practices and personal growth.

    Minimum Requirements:

    • Bachelor of Education degree with a major in FAL SeSotho up to NQF 7 level.
    • 1-3 years of relevant industry experience and lecturing experience.
    • A minimum of 3 years' lecturing experience.
    • Qualification one NQF level higher than the subject being taught.
    • Copies of academic transcripts.
