Job Summary:

Our Client is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Lab Technician with expertise in finding solutions to complex problems, particularly in the field of metal recovery from alloys. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in their laboratory, conducting experiments, analysing data, and developing innovative methods to recover metals efficiently. Responsibilities:

• Conduct experiments to recover metals from alloys using various chemical and metallurgical processes.
• Develop and optimize metal recovery methods to improve efficiency and yield.
• Perform chemical and physical analyses of alloys to determine metal composition and properties.
• Troubleshoot and solve complex problems related to metal recovery processes.
• Collaborate with research teams to design experiments and develop new metal recovery technologies.
• Maintain accurate records of experiments, procedures, and results.
• Ensure compliance with safety protocols and regulations in the laboratory.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Metallurgy, Materials Science, or a related field. Master's degree preferred.
• Proven experience in metal recovery from alloys, preferably in an industrial or research setting.
• Strong understanding of chemical principles and metallurgical processes.
• Proficiency in analytical techniques such as spectroscopy, chromatography, and microscopy.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to think creatively to overcome challenges.
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational and documentation skills.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Effective communication skills with the ability to convey complex technical information clearly.
• Prior experience with laboratory equipment and instrumentation.
