We have the following vacancy available at Melomed Head Office in Kenilworth:

PAYROLL ASSISTANT

(FIXED TERM VACANCY)

Requirements:


  • Matric
  • A minimum of 2 years' experience in Payroll or an HR position with experience in Payroll
  • Knowledge and experience of the Sage 300 People and Kronos System will be advantageous
  • Excellent organisational and administrative skills
  • Excellent computer and data capturing skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to work well within a team
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work with a high volume of data
  • Good time management skills and the ability to be able to work under pressure

Key Outputs:


  • Perform general administrative tasks
  • Assist by ensuring that the weekly payroll is completed in an accurate and timely manner
  • Ensure that documentation has been submitted within the required deadline and assist with the collection of outstanding documents
  • Check the accuracy, completeness, and correctness of payroll documents
  • Monitor the flow of Payroll documents and ensure that any corrections are timeously returned
  • Maintain an accurate database of all statistics required for record keeping and reporting purposes
  • Prepare reports as requested and download/run payslips for distribution
  • Attend to queries
  • Perform ad hoc duties as and when required
